नासम्यक्‌ कृतकारी स्यादप्रमत्त: सदा भवेत्‌ | कण्टको<पि हि दुश्छिन्नो विकारं कुरुते चिरम्‌

Transliteration

nāsamyak kṛtakārī syād apramattaḥ sadā bhavet | kaṇṭako 'pi hi duśchinnaḥ vikāraṃ kurute ciram ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—କୌଣସି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକୁ ଭଲଭାବେ ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦେବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ; ସଦା ଅପ୍ରମାଦୀ ରହିବା ଉଚିତ୍। କାରଣ କଣ୍ଟକ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯଦି ଭଲଭାବେ ନ ଉଖେଡ଼ାଯାଏ ଏବଂ ତାହାର କିଛି ଅଂଶ ଭିତରେ ରହିଯାଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳ ଧରି ବିକାର ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ।
