निश्चय: स्वार्थशास्त्रेषु विश्वासश्वासुखोदय: । उशना चैव गाथे डे प्रह्लादायाब्रवीत्‌ पुरा

Transliteration

brahmadatta uvāca | niścayaḥ svārthaśāstreṣu viśvāsaś ca asukhodayaḥ | uśanā caiva gāthe dve prahlādāyābravīt purā |

Translation

ନୀତିଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଏହା ନିଶ୍ଚିତ: ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦୁଃଖର ଉଦୟ କରାଏ। ପୁରାତନକାଳରେ ଉଶନା (ଶୁକ୍ରାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ) ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରହ୍ଲାଦଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ଦୁଇଟି ଗାଥା କହିଥିଲେ।
