भीष्म उवाच विज्ञानबलमास्थाय जीवितव्यं तथागते । सर्व साध्वर्थमेवेदमसाध्वर्थ न किंचन

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca vijñānabalam āsthāya jīvitavyaṃ tathāgate | sarva-sādhv-artham evedaṃ asādhv-artha na kiṃcana ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ— ଯୁଧିଷ୍ଠିର! ଏପରି ସମୟ ଆସିଲେ ବିବେକ ଓ ସତ୍ୟଜ୍ଞାନର ବଳକୁ ଆଶ୍ରୟ କରି ଜୀବନ ଧାରଣ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଏହି ଲୋକରେ ଯେ ଧନ ଆଦି ଦେଖାଯାଏ, ସେ ସବୁ ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ; ଅସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ କିଛି ନୁହେଁ।
