Nakula’s Counsel on Yajña, Dāna, and Tyāga (नकुलोपदेशः—यज्ञदानत्यागविचारः)
ब्राह्मणा:श्रुतिसम्पन्नास्तानू निबोध नराधिप | यह गृहस्थ-आश्रम सब आश्रमोंसे ऊँचा है। यह बात वेदोंके सिद्धान्तको जाननेवाले श्रुतिसम्पन्न ब्राह्मण कहते हैं। नरेश्वरर आप उनकी सेवामें उपस्थित होकर इस बातको समझिये
brāhmaṇāḥ śrutisampannās tānū nibodha narādhipa | yaḥ gṛhasthāśramaḥ sarvāśramebhya ūrdhvaḥ | etad vedasiddhāntajñāḥ śrutisampannā brāhmaṇā vadanti | nareśvara, teṣāṃ sevāyāṃ upasthitaḥ san etad avagaccha ||
ନକୁଳ କହିଲେ—ହେ ନରାଧିପ! ଶ୍ରୁତିସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି କଥା ଭଲଭାବେ ବୁଝ। ଗୃହସ୍ଥାଶ୍ରମ ସମସ୍ତ ଆଶ୍ରମମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବୋଲି ମନାଯାଏ। ବେଦସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଜାଣୁଥିବା, ଶ୍ରୁତିସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣମାନେ ଏହି କଥା ଘୋଷଣା କରନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ, ହେ ନରେଶ୍ୱର! ତାଙ୍କ ସେବାରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ଏହି ସତ୍ୟକୁ ଅବଗତ ହୁଅ।
