Vyāghra–Gomāyu Saṃvāda (व्याघ्रगोमायु संवाद) — Testing Character Beneath Appearances
पूजितोऊहं त्वया पूर्व पश्चाच्चैव विमानितः । परेषामास्पदं नीतो वस्तुं नाहम्यहं त्वयि
pūjito’haṃ tvayā pūrvaṃ paścāccaiva vimānitaḥ | pareṣām āspadaṃ nīto vastuṃ nāham ahaṃ tvayi ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—“ମହାରାଜ! ପୂର୍ବେ ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ; ପରେ ଅପମାନ କରି ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ମୋତେ ନେଇଗଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଏବେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ରହିବାକୁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।”
