तेन शब्देन घोरेण मृगाणामथ पक्षिणाम्
tena śabdena ghoreṇa mṛgāṇām atha pakṣiṇām
ସେଇ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଶବ୍ଦରେ ପଶୁପକ୍ଷୀମାନେ ଆତଙ୍କିତ ହେଲେ; ସମସ୍ତେ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ ହୋଇ ଦିଗ୍ଦିଗନ୍ତକୁ ଛୁଟିଲେ।
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse underscores how adharma and violence in human affairs reverberate through the natural world: ominous sounds and the panic of animals and birds function as ethical signals that disorder has spread beyond the battlefield into the cosmos.
Vāyudeva describes the effect of a terrifying sound—so intense that it agitates wild animals and birds—serving as an ominous marker of the surrounding crisis and the fearful atmosphere of the war setting.
