Gadāyuddhe Kṛṣṇopadeśaḥ (Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel in the Mace-Duel) — Śalya-parva 57
मोघं दुर्योधनश्षक्रे तत्रा भूद् विस््मयो महान् । परंतु महाबली दुर्योधनको इससे तनिक भी घबराहट नहीं हुई। उसने फुर्तीसे इधर-उधर होकर उस प्रहारको व्यर्थ कर दिया। यह देख वहाँ सब लोगोंको महान् आश्चर्य हुआ ।। ४७ न् |! सा तु मोघा गदा राजन् पतन्ती भीमचोदिता,चालयामास पृथिवीं महानिर्घातनि:स्वना । राजन! भीमसेनकी चलायी हुई वह गदा जब व्यर्थ होकर गिरने लगी, उस समय उसने वज्रपातके समान महान् शब्द प्रकट करके पृथ्वीको हिला दिया
sa tu moghā gadā rājan patantī bhīmacoditā | cālayāmāsa pṛthivīṃ mahānirghātaniḥsvanā ||
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜନ୍! ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନ ସେ ପ୍ରହାରକୁ ମୋଘ କଲେ; ଏହା ଦେଖି ସେଠାରେ ମହା ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହେଲା। ଭୀମସେନ ଛାଡ଼ିଥିବା ସେ ଗଦା ବ୍ୟର୍ଥ ହୋଇ ପଡ଼ୁଥିବାବେଳେ ବଜ୍ରପାତ ସଦୃଶ ଭୟଙ୍କର ନାଦ କରି ପୃଥିବୀକୁ କମ୍ପାଇଦେଲା।
