अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
विचरिष्यसि पापात्मन् सर्वव्याधिसमन्वित: । ओ नीच! तू जनसमुदायमें नहीं ठहर सकेगा। तेरे शरीरसे पीव और लोहूकी दुर्गन््ध निकलती रहेगी; अतः तुझे दुर्गम स्थानोंका ही आश्रय लेना पड़ेगा। पापात्मन्! तू सभी रोगोंसे पीड़ित होकर इधर-उधर भटकेगा
vicarīṣyasi pāpātman sarvavyādhisamanvitaḥ |
ହେ ପାପାତ୍ମନ୍! ତୁମେ ସମସ୍ତ ରୋଗରେ ପୀଡିତ ହୋଇ ଏଠି-ସେଠି ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବ। ଜନସମୁଦାୟରେ ତୁମେ ରହିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ ଶରୀରରୁ ପୁୟ ଓ ରକ୍ତର ଦୁର୍ଗନ୍ଧ ସଦା ବାହାରିବ; ତେଣୁ ତୁମକୁ ଦୁର୍ଗମ ଓ ନିର୍ଜନ ସ୍ଥାନମାନଙ୍କରେ ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନେବାକୁ ପଡିବ।
