कस्यचित् त्वथ कालस्य कंसो निर्मथ्य यादवान् | बाह॑द्रथसुते देव्यावुपागच्छद् वृथामति:,कुछ समय पहलेकी बात है, व्यर्थ बुद्धिवाले कंसने समस्त यादवोंको कुचलकर जरासंधकी दो पुत्रियोंके साथ विवाह किया
kasyacit tv atha kālasya kaṁso nirmathya yādavān | bāhad-ratha-sute devyāv upāgacchad vṛthā-matiḥ ||
ଏକ ସମୟର କଥା—ବ୍ୟର୍ଥବୁଦ୍ଧି କଂସ ଯାଦବମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚୁର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରି ବାହଦ୍ରଥ (ଜରାସନ୍ଧ)ଙ୍କ ଦୁଇ କନ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିବାହ କଲା।
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The verse implicitly critiques power pursued through oppression: a ruler who harms a people and then seeks legitimacy through marriage-alliance is labeled vṛthā-mati (misguided), underscoring that political success without dharma is ethically hollow.
Kaṁsa subdues the Yādavas and then approaches the two daughters of Jarāsandha (Bāhadratha) to marry them, indicating a strategic alliance formed after violent domination.
