धनुष्काशां शरावापां गदापरिघपन्नगाम्‌ | हंसच्छत्रध्वजोपेतामुष्णीषवरफेनिलाम्‌

sañjaya uvāca |

dhanuṣkāśāṁ śarāvāpāṁ gadā-parigha-pannagām |

haṁsa-cchatra-dhvajopetām uṣṇīṣa-vara-phenilām ||

ସେ ନଦୀର କୂଳେ ଧନୁଷ କାଶ ପରି, ଶର ଅଙ୍କୁର ପରି; ଗଦା ଓ ପରିଘ ସର୍ପ ପରି ଲାଗୁଥିଲା। ହଂସ ପରି ଛତ୍ର-ଧ୍ୱଜ ଶୋଭା ପାଉଥିଲେ, ଏବଂ ଉତ୍ତମ ଉଷ୍ଣୀଷ ଫେନ ପରି ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିଲା।
