द्रौणिस्तदपि राजेन्द्र भल्लै: क्षिप्रं महारथ:

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

drauṇis tad api rājendra bhallaiḥ kṣipraṁ mahārathaḥ |

rājendra śīghratāpūrvaka-hasta-cālanavān sudṛḍhāyudha-dhārī vīra-mahārathī aśvatthāmā samara-aṅgaṇe anekaiḥ bhallaiḥ rathād avarohituṁ pūrvam eva dhṛṣṭadyumnasya tāṁ ḍhāla-tālavāraṁ api ciccheda |

etad adbhutam iva abhavat ||

Translation

ରାଜେନ୍ଦ୍ର! ତଥାପି ମହାରଥୀ ଦ୍ରୋଣପୁତ୍ର ଅଶ୍ୱତ୍ଥାମା ଅନେକ ଭଲ୍ଲବାଣରେ, ଧୃଷ୍ଟଦ୍ୟୁମ୍ନ ରଥରୁ ଅବରୋହଣ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ହିଁ, ତାଙ୍କ ଢାଳ ଓ ଖଡ୍ଗକୁ କାଟିଦେଲେ—ଏହା ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ ପରି ଲାଗିଲା।
