Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya
सिंहनादश्न संजज्ञे क्षेेला: किलकिलास्तथा । पाण्डवानां महाराज दृष्ट्वा राज्ञ: पराक्रमम्,महाराज! राजाका वह पराक्रम देखकर पाण्डव-सैनिकोंमें सिंहनाद, आनन्द, कलरव और किलकिल शब्द होने लगा
siṁhanādaś ca saṁjajñe kṣvelāḥ kilakilās tathā | pāṇḍavānāṁ mahārāja dṛṣṭvā rājñaḥ parākramam ||
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ମହାରାଜ! ରାଜାଙ୍କ ପରାକ୍ରମ ଦେଖି ପାଣ୍ଡବ ସେନାମଧ୍ୟରେ ସିଂହନାଦ ଉଠିଲା; ସହିତ ହର୍ଷଧ୍ୱନି, ଭୟଙ୍କର କୋଳାହଳ ଓ କିଲକିଲ ଶବ୍ଦ ସବୁଦିଗରେ ଗୁଞ୍ଜିଲା।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how visible courage and effective action on the battlefield can transform collective morale: when warriors witness decisive prowess, their confidence surges and expresses itself as unified, energizing acclamation.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, after seeing the king’s (i.e., the leading commander’s) heroic prowess, the Pāṇḍava forces erupted in loud battle-cries—lion-roars and various jubilant shouts—signaling heightened enthusiasm and readiness to fight.
