कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
संयच्छामि हयानेष युध्यतो वै कपर्दिन: । पितामह बोले--देवताओ! तुमने जो कुछ कहा है, उसमें तनिक भी मिथ्या नहीं है। मैं युद्ध करते समय भगवान् शंकरके घोड़ोंको काबूमें रखूँगा
saṁyacchāmi hayān eṣa yudhyato vai kapardinaḥ |
ପିତାମହ ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ— “ହେ ଦେବମାନେ! ତୁମେ ଯାହା କହିଛ, ସେଥିରେ କିଛିମାତ୍ର ମିଥ୍ୟା ନାହିଁ। ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ କପର୍ଦ୍ଦିନ (ଶିବ) ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଏହି ଘୋଡ଼ାମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ସଂଯମରେ ରଖିବି।”
