Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the epic idea that when adharma-driven conflict escalates, even sacred cosmic powers are rhetorically drawn into the machinery of war—raising ethical tension about using divine force to serve human rivalry.

Duryodhana describes a mythic preparation of martial equipment: the gods collectively construct a chariot, and an arrow is fashioned by associating it with Viṣṇu, the Moon (Soma), and Fire (Agni), emphasizing the extraordinary, divinely-infused nature of the weaponry.
