जहार समरे प्राणान् नानाशस्त्रैरनेकथा । कोई-कोई योद्धा दूसरेके साथ उलझे हुए सैनिकसे स्वयं अपरिचित रहकर नाना प्रकारके अनेक अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंद्वारा युद्धमें उसके प्राण हर लेता था || ४० $ ।। संसक्तेषु च योधेषु वर्तमाने च संकुले
Transliteration
jahāra samare prāṇān nānāśastrair anekathā | saṃsakteṣu ca yodheṣu vartamāne ca saṅkule ||
Translation
ସମରରେ ନାନା ପ୍ରକାର ଅନେକ ଶସ୍ତ୍ରଦ୍ୱାରା ଅନେକ ଭାବେ ପ୍ରାଣ ହରଣ ହେଉଥିଲା। ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯୋଧାମାନେ ପରସ୍ପରେ ଜଡି ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସଂକୁଳ ହୋଇଯାଇଥିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ କେହି କେହି ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ଚିହ୍ନିନ ପାରି ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର-ଶସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ତାହାର ପ୍ରାଣ ନେଇଯାଉଥିଲେ।
