The Exploits of Śaineya/Sātyaki amid Encirclement
तावकानां परेषां च युध्यतां भरतर्षभ । नासीत् कश्चिन्महाराज योज्त्याक्षीत् संयुगं भयात्,भरतभूषण! महाराज! वहाँ युद्ध करते हुए आपके और शत्रुओंके योद्धाओंमें कोई ऐसा नहीं था, जिसने भयके कारण युद्धका मैदान छोड़ दिया हो
tāvakānāṃ pareṣāṃ ca yudhyatāṃ bharatarṣabha | nāsīt kaścin mahārāja yo jitākṣīt saṃyugaṃ bhayāt ||
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ହେ ଭରତଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ମହାରାଜ! ତୁମ ପକ୍ଷ ଓ ପ୍ରତିପକ୍ଷର ଯେ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାମାନେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଲିପ୍ତ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଭୟରେ ରଣଭୂମି ଛାଡ଼ି ପଳାଇଥିବା ଜଣେ ମଧ୍ୟ ନଥିଲେ; ସମସ୍ତେ କ୍ଷାତ୍ରଧର୍ମରେ ବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇ ଅଟୁଟ ରହିଲେ।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfastness in one’s chosen duty: in the heat of battle, neither side yields to fear by deserting the field. Ethically, it underscores the epic ideal of kṣatriya resolve—endurance, honor, and commitment even amid mortal danger.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that during the fighting between the Kauravas and their opponents, no combatant withdrew from the battlefield out of fear; the engagement continues with unwavering intensity on both sides.
