अध्याय ९१ — शैनेयस्य गजानीकभेदनं जलसंधवधश्च

Chapter 91: Sātyaki breaks the elephant array and slays Jalasaṃdha

इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि जयद्रथवधपर्वणि अर्जुनयुद्धे एकोननवतितमो<ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi jayadrathavadhaparvaṇi arjunayuddhe ekonanavatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ଏହିପରି ଶ୍ରୀମହାଭାରତର ଦ୍ରୋଣପର୍ବରେ, ଜୟଦ୍ରଥବଧପର୍ବାନ୍ତର୍ଗତ, ଅର୍ଜୁନଯୁଦ୍ଧ-ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନାକରୁଥିବା ଏକୋନନବତିତମ (୮୯ତମ) ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେଲା। ଏହି ସମାପନ-କୋଲଫୋନ ଘଟଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧର୍ମ ଓ ଇତିହାସର ବିଶାଳ ବୁନାଇରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରେ; ଔପଚାରିକ କ୍ରମରେ ହିଂସାକୁ କହି ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ, ପରିଣାମ ଏବଂ ନିୟତି-କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟର ଗମ୍ଭୀର ଅଗ୍ରଗତିକୁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରେ।
