अनर्हमाणान् कौन्तेयान् कर्मणस्तस्य तत् फलम् | मैंने अमर्षमें भरकर सदा कष्ट भोगनेके अयोग्य कुन्तीकुमारोंको क्लेश ही दिया है; परंतु मेरे इस बर्तावको द्रोणाचार्यने चुपचाप सह लिया था। उनके उसी कर्मका यह वधरूपी फल प्राप्त हुआ है

କ୍ଲେଶ ଭୋଗିବାକୁ ଅନର୍ହ କୁନ୍ତୀପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳ ଅନ୍ତରେ ଜ୍ୱଳୁଥିବା ଅମର୍ଷରେ କେବଳ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ହିଁ ଦେଇଛି। ଦ୍ରୋଣାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ମୋ ସେଇ ଆଚରଣକୁ ନିରବରେ ସହିଥିଲେ; ଆଜି ଯୁଦ୍ଧମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାଙ୍କର ବଧ ମୋତେ ସେଇ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମର ଭୟଙ୍କର ଫଳ ଭାବେ ଲାଗୁଛି—ଯେନେ ତାହା ଫେରି ଆସି ମୋ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଦଣ୍ଡାୟମାନ।
