नारद उवाच
A dharmic sacrifice is marked by abundance shared with all and by sincere honour shown to the learned; satisfaction (saṃtṛpti) arises from generous giving and respectful reception, not from ritual alone.
Nārada describes a particular yajña where people regularly ate excellent food, and the leading brāhmaṇas, treated with the highest respect, were thoroughly pleased and satisfied.
