Omens and Consolation after Loss; Reaffirmation of the Saindhava Punishment Vow (उत्पात-दर्शनम्, आश्वासन-वाक्यानि, प्रतिज्ञा-स्थैर्यम्)
सर्वे देवा मर्त्यसंज्ञाविशिष्टा- स्तस्मात् पुत्र मा शुचो राजसिंह । स्वर्ग प्राप्तो मोदते ते तनूजो नित्यं रम्यान् वीरलोकानवाप्य,राजसिंह! सम्पूर्ण देवता भी मर्त्य (मरणधर्मा) नामसे विभूषित हैं, इसलिये तुम अपने पुत्रके लिये शोक न करो। तुम्हारा पुत्र स्वर्गलोकमें जा पहुँचा है और नित्य रमणीय वीर- लोकोंमें रहकर आनन्दका अनुभव करता है
sarve devā martyasaṃjñāviśiṣṭās tasmāt putra mā śuco rājasimha | svargaṃ prāpto modate te tanūjo nityaṃ ramyān vīralokān avāpya rājasimha ||
ନାରଦ କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜସିଂହ! ସମସ୍ତ ଦେବତାମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ‘ମର୍ତ୍ୟ’ ନାମରେ ଅଭିହିତ; ତେଣୁ, ପୁତ୍ର, ଶୋକ କରନି। ତୋର ପୁତ୍ର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ପହଞ୍ଚିଛି, ଏବଂ ନିତ୍ୟ ରମଣୀୟ ବୀରଲୋକ ପାଇ ସେଠାରେ ସଦା ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁଛି।
नारद उवाच
Grief should be tempered by dharmic understanding: death is a universal condition even for exalted beings, and a warrior who dies rightly attains honored realms; thus one should not collapse into sorrow but recognize the moral and cosmic order behind fate.
Nārada addresses a grieving king (called ‘rājasiṃha’) and consoles him about his son’s death, declaring that the son has reached heaven and now enjoys the delightful heroic worlds reserved for the valorous.
