द्रोणविक्रमदर्शनम् / The Display of Droṇa’s Onslaught and the Debate on Pāṇḍava Regrouping
द्रोणस्तु शरवर्षेण च्छाद्यमानो महारथ: । वेग॑ चक्रे महावेग: क्रोधादुद्वृत्य चक्षुषी,इस प्रकार बाण-वर्षासे आच्छादित होनेपर महान् वेगशाली महारथी द्रोणने क्रोधसे आँखें फाड़कर देखते हुए अपना विशेष वेग प्रकट किया
droṇas tu śaravarṣeṇa cchādyamāno mahārathaḥ | vegaṃ cakre mahāvegaḥ krodhād udvṛtya cakṣuṣī ||
ଶରବର୍ଷାରେ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦିତ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମହାରଥୀ ଦ୍ରୋଣ, କ୍ରୋଧରେ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ବିସ୍ତାର କରି, ଆହୁରି ମହାବେଗ ଧାରଣ କଲେ।
संजय उवाच
The verse suggests that anger can generate tremendous force and urgency, yet it also signals a loss of inner composure; in dharmic terms, martial prowess is heightened, but ethical clarity and restraint are put at risk.
In the midst of intense fighting, Droṇa is enveloped by a barrage of arrows. Instead of faltering, he becomes more aggressive—eyes widened in wrath—and unleashes greater speed and power in response.
