आससादरणे द्रोणं तदा55सीत् तुमुलं महत् । इसी प्रकार पांचालराजकुमार धृष्टद्युम्नने भी आपकी विशाल सेनामें घुसकर रणभूमिमें द्रोणाचार्यपर चढ़ाई की। उस समय बड़ा भयंकर युद्ध होने लगा ।। नैव नस्तादृशं युद्ध दृष्टपूर्व न च श्रुतम्
āsasāda raṇe droṇaṃ tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat | naiva nas tādṛśaṃ yuddhaṃ dṛṣṭapūrvaṃ na ca śrutam ||
ତେବେ ରଣଭୂମିରେ ସେ ଦ୍ରୋଣାଚାର୍ୟଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସିଧା ଚଢ଼ାଇ କଲା; ସେଇ ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତରେ ମହା ତୁମୁଳ ସଂଘର୍ଷ ଉଦ୍ଭବ ହେଲା। ଏପରି ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ନ ଆମେ ପୂର୍ବେ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ, ନ ଶୁଣିଥିଲୁ।
