श्रेयसस्त्वद्धिते युक्तांस्तत्तद् वक्तुमिहेच्छसि । “तुम निष्ठर और पापपूर्ण विचार रखनेवाले हो; अतः तुम्हारे मनमें सबपर संदेह बना रहता है, इसीलिये तुम्हारे हितमें ही तत्पर रहनेवाले श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोंको भी तुम ऐसी-ऐसी बातें सुनानेकी इच्छा रखते हो
śreyasastvaddhite yuktāṁstattad vaktum ihecchasi |
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ତୁମେ ନିଷ୍ଠୁର ଓ ପାପବୁଦ୍ଧିଯୁକ୍ତ; ତେଣୁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ ମନରେ ସନ୍ଦେହ ରହିଥାଏ। ଏହିକାରଣରୁ ତୁମ ହିତରେ ନିୟୁକ୍ତ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମେ ଏଠାରେ ଏମିତି-ଏମିତି କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛ।
