घोररूपो महाराज योधानां हर्षवर्धन: । महाराज! तत्पश्चात् अन्तरिक्षमें बाणोंका दूसरा भयंकर संग्राम-सा होने लगा, जो योद्धाओंका हर्ष बढ़ा रहा था
ghorarūpo mahārāja yodhānāṁ harṣavardhanaḥ |
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ମହାରାଜ, ତାପରେ ଅନ୍ତରିକ୍ଷରେ ବାଣମାନଙ୍କର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଘୋର ସଙ୍ଗ୍ରାମ ପରି ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ହେଲା, ଯାହା ଯୋଧାମାନଙ୍କର ହର୍ଷ ବଢ଼ାଉଥିଲା।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights a moral paradox of war: what is objectively dreadful can still amplify warriors’ exhilaration, pointing to how violence can generate pride and excitement that obscure compassion and ethical restraint.
Sañjaya reports to the king that a terrifying battle-sight (contextually, an intensified exchange of weapons) has arisen, and it is energizing the combatants rather than sobering them.
