Night Exhaustion and Brief Pause in Battle
visṛjan śaravarṣāṇi kālavarṣīva toyadaḥ | apane putrake mūrcchita honepar bāhlīkane varṣāṛtumeṃ varṣā karanevāle meghake samāna bāṇoṃkī vṛṣṭi karate hue vahāṃ sātyakipar dhāvā kiyā |
The verse highlights how personal sorrow in war can quickly transform into wrath and vengeance, driving further violence; it implicitly warns that unchecked grief-fueled retaliation deepens the moral and human cost of conflict.
After Bāhlīka sees his son rendered unconscious, he charges at Sātyaki and unleashes a heavy barrage of arrows, compared to a monsoon cloud pouring rain.
