संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the stark reality of kṣatriya warfare: skill and determination can decisively shatter an opponent’s advantage, yet the narration also invites reflection on the ethical gravity of violence within a civil war.
Sañjaya reports that something previously in view (likely a martial object such as a weapon, standard, or protective element) is struck by Karṇa’s keen arrows, cut into ten pieces, and falls—highlighting Karṇa’s lethal accuracy in the ongoing battle.
