भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
तत्रासीत् सुमहद् युद्ध तुमुलं लोमहर्षणम् । यथा देवासूुरं युद्ध पूर्वमासीत् सुदारुणम्,जैसे पूर्वकालमें अत्यन्त भयंकर देवासुर-संग्राम हुआ था, उसी प्रकार वहाँ अत्यन्त भयानक रोमांचकारी युद्ध होने लगा
tatrāsīt sumahad yuddhaṃ tumulaṃ lomaharṣaṇam | yathā devāsuraṃ yuddhaṃ pūrvam āsīt sudāruṇam ||
ସେଠାରେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମହାନ, ଘୋର କୋଳାହଳମୟ ଓ ରୋମାଞ୍ଚକର ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଲା—ଯେପରି ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ଦେବାସୁରଙ୍କ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦାରୁଣ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
