भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः
पक्षकोटिप्रपक्षेषु पक्षान्तेषु च वारणा:
pakṣakoṭiprapakṣeṣu pakṣānteṣu ca vāraṇāḥ
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ହାତୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପକ୍ଷର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ଓ ପ୍ରତିପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ, ଏବଂ ପକ୍ଷାନ୍ତରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାପିତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା—ଯେପରି ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେଖା ଦୃଢ଼ ରହେ ଓ ହଠାତ୍ ଭେଦନ ରୋକାଯାଏ।
