रथे भीष्मस्य चिक्षेप यथा देवो धनेश्वर: । उधर श्वेतने क्रोधसे व्याप्त हो उस गदाको आकाशमें घुमाकर भीष्मके रथपर फेंक दिया, मानो कुबेरने गदाका प्रहार किया हो ।। ९२ ह ।। तया भीष्मनिपातिन्या स रथो भस्मसात्कृत:
rathe bhīṣmasya cikṣepa yathā devo dhaneśvaraḥ | tayā bhīṣmanipātinyā sa ratho bhasmasāt-kṛtaḥ ||
କ୍ରୋଧରେ ବ୍ୟାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ସେ ଗଦାକୁ ଆକାଶରେ ଘୁମାଇ ଭୀଷ୍ମଙ୍କ ରଥ ଉପରେ ଛାଡ଼ିଦେଲା—ମନେ ହେଲା ଧନେଶ୍ୱର କୁବେର ଗଦାପ୍ରହାର କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସେଇ ଭୀଷ୍ମ-ନିପାତିନୀ ଆଘାତରେ ରଥଟି ଭସ୍ମସାତ ହୋଇଗଲା।
