महता शरवर्षेण भीष्मस्य धनुराच्छिनत् | जैसे सिंह हाथियोंके समूहको आगे बढ़नेसे रोक देता है, उसी प्रकार उन सभी महारथियोंको रोककर भारी बाणवषकि द्वारा श्वेतने भीष्मका धनुष काट दिया
mahātā śaravarṣeṇa bhīṣmasya dhanurācchinat |
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ମହା ବାଣବର୍ଷାରେ ସେ ଭୀଷ୍ମଙ୍କ ଧନୁଷ କାଟିଦେଲା। ଯେପରି ସିଂହ ହାତୀମାନଙ୍କ ଝୁଣ୍ଡକୁ ଆଗକୁ ବଢ଼ିବାରୁ ରୋକେ, ସେପରି ସମସ୍ତ ମହାରଥୀଙ୍କୁ ରୋକି ଶ୍ୱେତ ଘୋର ଶରବର୍ଷାରେ ଭୀଷ୍ମଙ୍କ ଧନୁଷ ଛିନ୍ନ କଲା।
