Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
ततस्ते सैनिका: सर्वे प्रशंसन्ति सम कौरवान् | हृष्टा: सुमनसो भूत्वा चैलानि दुधुवुश्च ह,तदनन्तर वे सब सैनिक कौरवोंकी प्रशंसा करने लगे और प्रसन्नचित्त हो हर्षमें भरकर अपने कपड़े हिलाने लगे
tatas te sainikāḥ sarve praśaṃsanti sma kauravān | hṛṣṭāḥ sumanaso bhūtvā cailāni dudhuvuś ca ha ||
ତେବେ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନିକ କୌରବମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ହର୍ଷିତ ଓ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନଚିତ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଉତ୍ସାହରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲେ ଏବଂ ସମ୍ମତିର ଚିହ୍ନରୂପେ ନିଜ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ହଲାଇଲେ।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how collective emotion and public gestures (praise, waving garments) can amplify confidence and cohesion in a group—an ethically neutral but powerful force that can be directed toward either righteous or unrighteous ends in war.
Sanjaya reports that the Kaurava soldiers, pleased by what they have just witnessed, break into praise of the Kauravas and, in excitement, wave their clothes as a sign of approval and heightened battlefield spirit.
