Shloka 4

हे अर्जुन! मेरी महत्‌-ब्रह्मरूप मूल प्रकृति सम्पूर्ण भूतोंकी योनि है अर्थात्‌ गर्भाधानका स्थान है* और मैं उस योनिमें चेतनसमुदायरूप गर्भको स्थापन करता हूँ*। उस जड-चेतनके संयोगसे सब भूतोंकी उत्पत्ति होती है: ।। सर्वयोनिषु कौन्तेय मूर्तय: सम्भवन्ति या: । तासां ब्रह्म महद्योनिरहं बीजप्रद: पिता,हे अर्जुन! नाना प्रकारकी सब योनियोंमें जितनी मूर्तियाँ अर्थात्‌ शरीरधारी प्राणी उत्पन्न होते हैं,“ प्रकृति तो उन सबकी गर्भ धारण करनेवाली माता है और मैं बीजको स्थापन करनेवाला पिता हूँ:

sarvayoniṣu kaunteya mūrtayaḥ sambhavanti yāḥ | tāsāṁ brahma mahad yonir ahaṁ bīja-pradaḥ pitā ||

ହେ ଅର୍ଜୁନ! ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଯୋନି ଓ ଜନ୍ମବିଧିରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେହଧାରୀ ପ୍ରାଣୀମାନେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମହାୟୋନି ମହଦ୍‌ବ୍ରହ୍ମରୂପ ପ୍ରକୃତି; ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ସେଠାରେ ବୀଜ ଦେବା ପିତା। ଜଡ ଓ ଚେତନର ସଂଯୋଗରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଭୂତଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ପତ୍ତି ହୁଏ; ତେଣୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ଏକ ମହାମୂଳରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ବୋଲି ଜାଣି ଦ୍ୱେଷ ଓ ଅହଂକାର ଛାଡ଼ି କର୍ମ କର।
