उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
दिक्षु प्रज्वलितास्याश्व व्याहरन्ति मृगद्धिजा: । अत्याहितं दर्शयन्तो वेदयन्ति महद् भयम्,चारों दिशाओंमें पशु और पक्षी प्राणान्तकारी अनर्थका दर्शन कराते हुए भयंकर बोली बोल रहे हैं। उनके मुख प्रज्वलित दिखायी देते हैं और वे अपने शब्दोंसे किसी महान् भयकी सूचना दे रहे हैं
dikṣu prajvalitāsyāś ca vyāharanti mṛgadvijāḥ | atyāhitaṃ darśayanto vedayanti mahad bhayam ||
ଚାରି ଦିଗରେ ମୁହଁ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିବା ପଶୁ ଓ ପକ୍ଷୀମାନେ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଧ୍ୱନି କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରାଣାନ୍ତକ ଅନର୍ଥର ଅପଶକୁନ ଦେଖାଇ, ନିଜ ଶବ୍ଦରେ ମହାଭୟ ଆସୁଛି ବୋଲି ସୂଚନା ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି।
