प्रशमे हि कृतो यत्न: सुमहान्‌ सुचिरं मया । न चैव शकित: कर्तु कर्ण सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते

Transliteration

praśame hi kṛto yatnaḥ sumahān suciraṃ mayā | na caiva śakitaḥ kartuṃ karṇa satyaṃ bravīmi te ||

Translation

କର୍ଣ୍ଣ! ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି। ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମହାନ ପ୍ରୟାସ କରିଥିଲି; କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ସାଧନ କରିପାରିଲି ନାହିଁ।
