बलात् संस्तम्भयस्वैनं यत्रैषा भिद्यते चमू: । न हि भीष्मशरानन्य: सोढुमुत्सहते विभो,“जहाँ ये इस सेनाका संहार कर रहे हैं, वहीं पहुँचकर इन्हें बलपूर्वक स्तम्भित कर दो (जिससे ये आगे या पीछे किसी ओर हट न सकें)। विभो! तुम्हारे सिवा दूसरा कोई ऐसा नहीं है, जो भीष्मके बाणोंकी चोट सह सके”
balāt saṁstambhayasvainaṁ yatraiṣā bhidyate camūḥ | na hi bhīṣmaśarān anyaḥ soḍhum utsahate vibho ||
“ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ସେ ଏହି ସେନାକୁ ଭେଦି ଧ୍ୱଂସ କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ସେଠାକୁ ଯାଇ ବଳପୂର୍ବକ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥମ୍ଭିତ କର—ଯେପରି ସେ ଆଗକୁ କିମ୍ବା ପଛକୁ କୌଣସି ଦିଗରେ ସରିପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ହେ ବିଭୋ! ତୁମ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଭୀଷ୍ମଙ୍କ ବାଣାଘାତ ସହିବାକୁ ଅନ୍ୟ କେହି ସମର୍ଥ ନୁହେଁ।”
