जग्मुस्ते परलोकाय व्यादितास्यमिवान्तकम्‌ | वे युद्धसे पीठ न दिखानेवाले

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | jagmus te paralokāya vyāditāsyam ivāntakam |

Translation

ସେ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାମାନେ ଯେନ ମୁହଁ ଫାଟିଥିବା ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଭିତରକୁ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ସେପରି ପରଲୋକକୁ ଗଲେ। ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପିଠ ନ ଦେଖାଉଥିବା, ଶୌର୍ୟସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ଓ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣଧ୍ୱଜଧାରୀ ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଭୀଷ୍ମଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହୋଇ, ଅଶ୍ୱ-ରଥ-ଗଜ ସହିତ ପରଲୋକପଥର ପଥିକ ହେଲେ।
