वर्णा: स्वकर्मनिरता न च स्तेनोअत्र दृश्यते । दीर्घायुषो महाराज जरामृत्युविवर्जिता:,सभी वर्णके लोग वहाँ अपने-अपने वर्णाश्रमोचित कर्मका पालन करते हैं। वहाँ कोई चोर नहीं दिखायी देता। महाराज! उस द्वीपके निवासी दीर्घायु तथा जरा और मृत्युसे रहित होते हैं

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

varṇāḥ svakarmaniratā na ca steno ’tra dṛśyate |

dīrghāyuṣo mahārāja jarāmṛtyuvivarjitāḥ ||

Translation

ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ସେଇ ଦେଶରେ ସମସ୍ତ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣର ଲୋକ ନିଜ-ନିଜ ନିୟତ କର୍ମରେ ନିରତ ରହନ୍ତି, ଏବଂ ସେଠାରେ କୌଣସି ଚୋର ଦେଖାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ। ହେ ମହାରାଜ! ସେଇ ଦ୍ୱୀପର ନିବାସୀମାନେ ଦୀର୍ଘାୟୁ, ଜରା ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର କ୍ଲେଶରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ।
