Bhīmasena’s Engagement with Multiple Mahārathas
प्रहरास्मिन् नरव्याप्र न चेन्मोहाद् विमुहा[से । 'पार्थ! तुम्हें जिस अवसरकी अभिलाषा और प्रतीक्षा थी, वह आ पहुँचा। पुरुषसिंह! यदि तुम मोहसे मोहित नहीं हो रहे हो तो इन भीष्मपर प्रहार करो
sañjaya uvāca | prahārāsmin nara-vyāghra na cen mohād vimūhyase | pārtha! tubhyaṁ yasya avasarasya abhilāṣā ca pratīkṣā ca āsīt sa āgataḥ | puruṣa-siṁha! yadi tvaṁ mohena na mohyase tarhi etān bhīṣmaṁ prati praharā ||
“ନରବ୍ୟାଘ୍ର! ଯଦି ମୋହରେ ବିମୂଢ଼ ହେଉନାହ, ଏବେ ପ୍ରହାର କର। ପାର୍ଥ! ଯେ ଅବସରକୁ ତୁମେ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା କରି ପ୍ରତୀକ୍ଷା କରୁଥିଲ, ସେ ଆସିପହଞ୍ଚିଛି। ପୁରୁଷସିଂହ! ଯଦି ଭ୍ରମରେ ନ ପଡ଼, ତେବେ ଭୀଷ୍ମଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆଘାତ କର।”
संजय उवाच
The verse urges steadfastness in one’s rightful duty (dharma) during crisis: when the decisive opportunity arrives, a warrior must act with clarity, not surrendering to moha (delusive hesitation).
In the thick of the Kurukshetra battle, Sanjaya reports an exhortation to Arjuna: the long-awaited opening has come, and Arjuna should attack Bhishma without being clouded by confusion or emotional paralysis.
