अपरिज्ञानमेतत्‌ ते महान्तं धर्ममिच्छत: । न हि यज्ञे पशुगणा विधिदृष्टा: पुरंदर

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | aparijñānam etat te mahāntaṃ dharmam icchataḥ | na hi yajñe paśugaṇā vidhidṛṣṭāḥ purandara |

Translation

“ପୁରନ୍ଦର! ମହାଧର୍ମକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଥିବା ସତ୍ତ୍ୱେ ଯଦି ତୁମେ ପଶୁବଧ ପାଇଁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ, ତେବେ ଏହା ତୁମର ଅଜ୍ଞାନ; କାରଣ ଯଜ୍ଞରେ ପଶୁଗଣଙ୍କ ବଧର ବିଧି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ।”
