Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
इन्द्र वाच सर्वान् कामाननुयातो<सि वित्र यस्त्वं देवानां मन्त्रवित्सुपुरोधा: । उभौ च ते जरामृत्यू व्यतीतौ कि संवर्तस्तव कर्ताद्य विप्र
indra uvāca—sarvān kāmān anuyāto ’si, vipra; yas tvaṃ devānāṃ mantravit supurodhāḥ | ubhau ca te jarāmṛtyū vyatītau; kiṃ saṃvartas tava kartādya, vipra ||
ଇନ୍ଦ୍ର କହିଲେ— ହେ ବିପ୍ର! ତୁମେ ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଜ୍ଞ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ପୁରୋହିତ; ତେଣୁ ତୁମକୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଇଚ୍ଛିତ ଭୋଗ ମିଳିଛି। ତୁମେ ଜରା ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ—ଦୁହେଁକୁ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରିଛ। ତେବେ ଆଜି ସଂବର୍ତ୍ତ ତୁମର କ’ଣ କରିପାରିବ?
