वायुदेव उवाच
This verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement: it formally closes the forty-fourth chapter of the Guru–Disciple dialogue in the Anugītā section, underscoring the tradition of presenting ethical instruction as a complete, bounded teaching unit.
The text signals the end of a chapter within the Anugītā portion of the Aśvamedhika Parva. It functions as an editorial/narrative marker indicating that the preceding instruction has concluded and the work will proceed to the next segment.
