सम्पूर्ण भक्ष्य-भोज्य पदार्थोंमें अन्न श्रेष्ठ कहा जाता है। बहनेवाले और सभी पीनेयोग्य पदार्थोमें जल उत्तम है ।।

Transliteration

sthāvarāṇāṁ tu bhūtānāṁ sarveṣām aviśeṣataḥ | brahmakṣetraṁ sadā puṇyaṁ plakṣaḥ prathamataḥ smṛtaḥ ||

Translation

ବାୟୁଦେବ କହିଲେ—ସମସ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାବର ଭୂତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ, ଭେଦ ନ କରି, ‘ବ୍ରହ୍ମକ୍ଷେତ୍ର’ ନାମକ ବୃକ୍ଷ ସଦା ପୁଣ୍ୟମୟ ବୋଲି ଗଣ୍ୟ; ଏବଂ ପ୍ଲକ୍ଷ (ପବିତ୍ର ଡୁମୁରବୃକ୍ଷ) ପ୍ରଥମ ବୋଲି ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ।
