ସେମାନେ ଦାନଧର୍ମରେ ରତ, ସ୍ୱଭାବରେ ଶାନ୍ତ ଓ ସଦା ପ୍ରିୟବାଦୀ ଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ଖନୀନେତ୍ର ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ନିରନ୍ତର ପୀଡ଼ା ଦେଉଥିଲା।
व्यास उवाच
Outer virtues—charity, calmness, and pleasant speech—do not guarantee inner righteousness; true dharma is tested by how one treats the vulnerable, especially within one’s own family.
Vyāsa describes a group characterized by virtuous qualities, but notes a moral rupture: their eldest, Khanīnetra, repeatedly torments the others, creating suffering despite the group’s otherwise exemplary conduct.
