Transliteration

brahmovāca | rajo’ham vaḥ pravakṣyāmi yāthātathyena sattamāḥ | nibodhata mahābhāgā guṇavṛttaṃ ca rājasam ||

Translation

ବ୍ରହ୍ମା କହିଲେ—ହେ ସଦ୍ଗୁଣସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଋଷିମାନେ! ଏବେ ମୁଁ ତୁମମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଅନୁସାରେ ରଜୋଗୁଣର ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଓ ତାହାରୁ ଉଦ୍ଭୂତ ଗୁଣଗୁଡ଼ିକ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରିବି। ହେ ମହାଭାଗ୍ୟବାନମାନେ, ରାଜସ ବୃତ୍ତିର ଆଚରଣ ଓ ପ୍ରବୃତ୍ତିକୁ ଧ୍ୟାନଦେଇ ଶୁଣ।
