Kārtavīrya–Samudra Saṃvāda and the Jāmadagnya Precedent (आश्वमेधिक पर्व, अध्याय २९)
समुद्र उवाच महर्षिर्जमदग्निस्ते यदि राजन् परिश्रुत: । तस्य पुत्रस्तवातिथ्यं यथावत् कर्तुमहति
samudra uvāca: maharṣir jamadagnis te yadi rājan pariśrutaḥ | tasya putras tavātithyaṃ yathāvat kartum arhati ||
ସମୁଦ୍ର କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜନ! ଯଦି ତୁମେ ମହର୍ଷି ଜମଦଗ୍ନିଙ୍କ ନାମ ଶୁଣିଥାଅ, ତେବେ ତାଙ୍କ ଆଶ୍ରମକୁ ଯାଅ। ତାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ପରଶୁରାମ ତୁମକୁ ଯଥାବିଧି ଆତିଥ୍ୟ-ସତ୍କାର କରିବାକୁ ସମର୍ଥ ଓ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ।
