यो मां प्रयतते हन्तुं मोक्षमास्थाय पण्डित: । तस्य मोक्षरतिस्थस्य नृत्यामि च हसामि च । अवध्य: सर्वभूतानामहमेक: सनातन:
yo māṁ prayatate hantuṁ mokṣam āsthāya paṇḍitaḥ | tasya mokṣa-rati-sthasya nṛtyāmi ca hasāmi ca | avadhyaḥ sarva-bhūtānām aham ekaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
ଯେ ପଣ୍ଡିତ ମୋକ୍ଷକୁ ଆଶ୍ରୟ କରି ମୋତେ ନାଶ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରେ, ସେ ମୋକ୍ଷ-ଆସକ୍ତିରେ ହିଁ ବନ୍ଧିତ। ଏହା ଦେଖି ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ନେଇ ହସେ, ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ନୃତ୍ୟ ମଧ୍ୟ କରେ। କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତ ଭୂତଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅବଧ୍ୟ ଓ ସନାତନ ମୁଁ ଏକମାତ୍ର।

Vāyudeva declares that anyone who attempts to kill him—claiming a motive of liberation—is deluded, because that very fixation on mokṣa binds him. Vāyu, being divine and eternal, mocks the futility of such an attempt and proclaims his unslayable nature.
