एतद्।ि नित्यं यत्नेन पद रक्ष्यं नराधिप । बहुप्रत्यर्थिकं होतद्‌ राज्यं नाम कुरूद्धह,“कुरुश्रेष्ठ! नरेश्वर! राज्यके बहुत-से शत्रु होते हैं; अतः इसकी सदा ही यत्नपूर्वक रक्षा करनी चाहिये”

Transliteration

etad hi nityaṁ yatnena padaṁ rakṣyaṁ narādhipa | bahupratyarthikaṁ hy etad rājyaṁ nāma kurūdvaha ||

Translation

ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—ହେ ନରାଧିପ! ପ୍ରତି ପଦକ୍ଷେପରେ ଏହାକୁ ସଦା ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଉଚିତ। କାରଣ ‘ରାଜ୍ୟ’ ନାମକ ଏହି ସତ୍ତା ଅନେକ ପ୍ରତିଦ୍ୱନ୍ଦ୍ୱୀ ଓ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କରେ ପରିବେଷ୍ଟିତ, ହେ କୁରୁଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ!
