Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas
ता: शीलगुणसम्पन्ना विमानस्था गतक्लमा: । सर्वा: सर्वगुणोपेता: स्वस्थानं प्रतिपेदिरे
tāḥ śīlaguṇasampannā vimānasthā gataklamāḥ | sarvāḥ sarvaguṇopetāḥ svasthānaṃ pratipedire ||
ଶୀଳ ଓ ସଦ୍ଗୁଣରେ ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ସେଇ ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ କନ୍ୟାମାନେ ବିମାନରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରି, ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ଲାନ୍ତିରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ଓ ସର୍ବଗୁଣେ ଭୂଷିତ ହୋଇ, ନିଜ ନିଜ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores a moral logic central to the epic: śīla (upright conduct) and guṇa (virtues) lead to fitting outcomes. Those described as virtuous are relieved of suffering and attain their proper, deserved state—suggesting ethical character as a basis for post-suffering restoration and rightful destiny.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the Kṣatriya maidens, now free from hardship, ascend vimānas (celestial vehicles) and depart to their respective destined abodes. The scene functions as a resolution: distress ends, and each person reaches an appropriate station.
