वैशम्पायन उवाच
As a colophon, the verse primarily signals completion rather than giving a new doctrinal instruction; ethically, it frames the narrative as a remembered, ordered transmission—highlighting continuity of dharma through careful preservation and recollection of the past.
The narrator marks that the thirty-second chapter of the Āśramavāsika Parva—within the Putradarśana section, focused on the vision of Bhīṣma and others—has concluded.
