धृतराष्ट्रस्य क्षमायाचनं तथा युधिष्ठिरे न्यासदानम् / Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Request for Forgiveness and the Entrustment to Yudhiṣṭhira

तासां नादो रुदतीनां तदासीदू राजन्‌ दुःखात्‌ कुररीणामिवोच्चै: । ततो निष्पेतुर्रह्यिणक्षत्रियाणां विट्शूद्राणां चैव भार्या: समान्तात्‌

Transliteration

tāsāṃ nādo rudatīnāṃ tadāsīdū rājann duḥkhāt kurarīṇām ivoccaiḥ | tato niṣpetur gṛhiṇāṃ kṣatriyāṇāṃ viṭśūdrāṇāṃ caiva bhāryāḥ samāntāt ||

Translation

ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—ହେ ରାଜନ! ସେ ସମୟରେ ଦୁଃଖରେ ରୁଦନ କରୁଥିବା ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କର ନାଦ କୁରରୀ ପକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଆର୍ତ୍ତନାଦ ପରି ଉଠିଲା। ତାପରେ ଚାରିଦିଗରୁ କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ, ବୈଶ୍ୟ ଓ ଶୂଦ୍ର ଗୃହସ୍ଥମାନଙ୍କର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଘର ଛାଡ଼ି ଦୌଡ଼ି ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ।
